Would two half day sessions be more appropriate? Or would you prefer that all of the material be worked into regular PLC meetings...and then simply extend the length of those meetings?
I liked the work we did as a PLC overall. The day that we took to learn as much as we could in one day was a little overwhelming, and I remember little from it. I appreciated having guest speakers in our PLC; it was a nice change of pace. It was good to have a different location every once in while--moving from the PRC to the ARC to room 216.
I appreciate the work we did as a PLC. I thought the full day session was appropriate. Perhaps, next time, a day or so after the full day session, get together as a group and recap what we heard and learned. It would be a good way to recollect everything after listening/pondering for a while. I liked that the PLC meetings stuck to an hour or so, and were highly productive - worked very well with my schedule. I agree that it was good to have a guest speaker and change locations once in a while.
