The number of students I have failing my classes
That is always a frustration, no matter how many years you have been teaching. I think the key is to not give in to temptation and lower your standards. Kids need a lofty goal to shoot for. Some are not going to make it, but many will, and still others will at least begin to reach for it.
Having honorable and hardworking students cheat.
I have to agree, the number of students failing because of lack of effort on their part. It's so tempting to lower the standards, but you can't and htey just have to learn the lesson the hard way.
